Following Brandon Ward's presentation on Service Design, we're opening up the discussion with a panel of local thought leaders on the topic. Service Design is a topic that has many excited...but also has just as many concerns. We'd like to know what others in the community think about this topic.
Meet the Moderator
UX Practice Lead, Slalom Consulting
Tracey is passionate about user and customer experience, technology, innovation and design. With over 23 years of experience in design and technology, she loves people, innovation and service/product design. She seeks to improve awareness of service design to enable better experiences for humanity. She leads a team of UX consultants at Slalom consulting and embraces Slalomâ€™s core values, specifically the value of 'do what is rightâ€™. In her spare time, she volunteers with non-profit design/development projects and technical training for homeless and abused women. She is also the Dallas Director of Women in Technology.Â
Meet the Panel
Brian Sullivan is the Director of Usability Testing and Research at Tonic 3. Brian is actively involved in the design and usability community--Founder of Big Design Conference, Chair of World Usability Day (2007-11), and President of DFW-UPA (2006-11). Brian has worked with AT&T, IBM, Burger King, American Airlines, SkyChefs, United Airlines, and Carter Blood Center. Brian is publishing his first booked, The Design Studio Method (2015). Brian is also an internationally recognized speaker, which includes speaking engagements at SxSW, Big Design Conference, IA Summit, UXPA-I, User Friendly, CPSI, and UXPA Boston. Brian lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, son, and cat (who runs the house).
Jeremy writes and presents about user experience, design, technology, mobile, and all things the internet. He also enjoys art, photography, travel, and gaming. He is currently a Director of User Experience for projekt202.
Brandon E.B. Ward
Brandonâ€™s passion for Experience and Service Design comes from a background in the arts combined with an interest in interactive media on mobile, the web and video games. Originally an artsy kid with three Bachelor degrees in Vocal Performance, Music Theory and Acting, Brandon now enjoys creating user-friendly solutions to let other people be rock stars at their jobs. He holds an MS degree from Indiana University in Interactive Media Design and has developed a talent in bridging the gaps between development, design, business and the customer.
Brandon grew up in eight states and two countries and is fluent in 3 Filipino languages. When not working, Brandon loves watching movies, restoring old cars, training Kung Fu and hanging out with his 4 adorable kids and lovely wife.
