The Designing of Microsoft

Phillip Hunter

Everywhere you look in tech and business publications, there are more and more references to a seeming Renaissance of design at Microsoft. What's going on in this company that still has to deal with Clippy jokes? Has a culture of design really taken hold there? If so, what is it and what will be the result? Come find out as Phillip Hunter gives us a view into a change that just might change a lot of minds.

Phillip Hunter is part of the User Experience Excellence team at Microsoft, where he use his broad interaction and experience design background to inform, support, and guide designers and other engineering teams across the company. Before that, he was part of the Microsoft Tellme team. And before, before, he built successful teams, led Fortune 500 projects, invented processes and tools, and spent time at Intervoice, Voice Partners, SpeechCycle, and design – outloud. His work, some award-winning, spans the spectrums of start-ups to Fortune 500 and local to global companies. He speaks and writes on a variety of design topics.
